After learning that there were some important Nelson family locations only about a half hour from our house, my mom and I decided to go on a bit of a PILGRIMAGE. TO THE HOMELAND. First we found Ozzie’s junior/high school, which is now located at 1 OZZIE NELSON DRIVE. Then we found his childhood home which was really just up the street. Then we had a quick stop over at the hospital where Rick was born.

Then we came back to our mall and ate at Johnny Rockets. Expect Rick is no longer on the jukebox. Not that the jukebox ever worked anyway. Except for that one time we played Love Shack like 7 times in a row until they cut us off but that’s another story. Anyway, word on the street is that Rick enjoyed cheeseburgers and malts. So that is what we ordered. Except mine was a veggie burger and my mom had a shake without the malt because apparently she has a malt problem.
